Junior Sous Chef | Fine Dining & Popular Relevant Venues

Capital Restaurant Resources is partnering with a respected Washington, DC restaurant group to identify a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated Junior Sous Chef for one of its fine dining concepts.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves being in the kitchen, takes pride in their craft, and wants to continue learning from talented culinary professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Chef de Partie, Lead Line Cook, or emerging Sous Chef who is ready to take on more responsibility while continuing to develop their skills.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in cooking techniques, experience in quality-driven restaurants, and a genuine curiosity about food, ingredients, and the creative process.

We value attitude, work ethic, and a willingness to learn just as much as experience.

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for cooking, quality ingredients, and thoughtful food presentation.

• Experience in fine dining, upscale restaurants, or ambitious chef-driven kitchens.

• Strong foundational cooking skills, attention to detail, and pride in consistency.

• The ability to work confidently across multiple stations and execute during demanding services.

• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn from more experienced chefs.

• An interest in developing leadership skills, training cooks, and taking on additional responsibility.

• An understanding of kitchen organization, food safety, proper storage, and product handling.

• Creativity, curiosity, and a desire to build a long-term career in the culinary industry.

The Opportunity

• Competitive salary: $65,000–$75,000 , commensurate with experience.

• Work alongside experienced chefs in a professional, quality-driven kitchen.

• Continue developing your culinary techniques, leadership abilities, and understanding of kitchen operations.

• Gain exposure to seasonal menu development, new ingredients, and creative cooking techniques.

• Take on meaningful responsibilities while remaining actively involved in daily prep, cooking, and service.

• Build the experience and confidence necessary to advance into a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine position.
